I am blessed to have a wonderful group of friends who support me, both in my business and in my personal life. They are known as the Bluegrass Stampers, and I don’t know what I would do without them. One of the things we do as a group, is support our local Veterans by making cards for them.
For the last ten years, I have taken boxes of Valentines to the VA Hospital in Louisville to let our Veterans know that their sacrifices are appreciated. I received Valentines from stamping friends all over the country! This year, we made 674 Valentines!!
For the last couple of years, in addition to taking Valentines to the VA hospital, we also took Valentines to the Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) at Fort Knox. This is a facility that helps our wounded warriors get back to their lives.
Last week, I received a request from the WTU for cards that the soldiers could send to their friends and families. They asked for an assortment, and especially “miss you” types of cards. Several of the Bluegrass Stamper members stepped up immediately to make cards! I’m just so proud of them! I’ll be sharing some of these cards with you in future posts.
If you are interested in making cards for our Veterans and soldiers, we’ll take all the help we can get. Just contact me, and I’ll let you know what we need.
