Cheers to the Year

Happy New Year!!

Last year was a rough one for me, so I’m hoping 2018 will be a better one.  I hope it’s a good year for you, too!

We made this card at December Stamp Club, and the picture does NOT do it justice.  It is gorgeous and includes several colors of foil….gold, silver, champagne, and copper.  The DSP is so pretty, I really hated to see it go!

This card is adapted from a Make-n-take we made on the Incentive Trip to Thailand in July.  I resized it to make the most of the beautiful paper.  I wanted to make sure all my club members got to use it.

Stamps:  Cheers to the Year

Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Champagne Foil, Whisper White

Ink:  Crumb Cake, Basic Black

Punches:  Starburst, 1 1/4” Circle, 1 3/8” Circle

Paper:  Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper

Other:  Foil Snowflakes, Mini gold sequins

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Stay inky, my friends!

Party with Cake

At my Cards & More class this month, we focused on products that are retiring.  This card uses the Party With Cake stamp set, along with the Bermuda Bay Thick Bakers Twine and Bermuda Bay sequins, all of which will be gone at the end of May.  I love using sequins to add a little bling for very little cost, and I’m going to miss these!

Stamps:  Party With Cake

Cardstock:  Thick Whisper White, Bermuda Bay

Ink:  Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo

Dies:  1 1/4″ circle punch, 1 3/8″ circle punch

Other:  Bermuda Bay Thick Bakers Twine, Bermuda Bay Sequins, Markers (Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay)

I hope you like this card.  Please comment and let me know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Pinch Proof Pin

Someone asked me to show a better photo of the pin I included in my Pinch Proof card.  You can see the card here.

The medallion was the focal point of the card, and I secured it with a small glue dot, so it could easily be removed.  I included a self-adhesive pin back with my card, so the recipient could remove the medallion, attach it to the pin,  and wear it on St. Patrick’s Day to avoid those nasty pinches for not wearing green!

I used Cucumber Crush cardstock with a Scallop Circle punch (vintage).  I put glue around the edges of the scallop and dipped it in Dazzling Diamonds glitter for some sparkle (which you can’t see very well in the photo).  I stamped the image from the Pinch Proof stamp set (vintage) and punched it with a circle punch.  I adhered this to the cucumber crush base with a dimensional.

I’m always happy to answer any questions you might have about any of my creations, so please comment below if you have questions or need more information.

Thanks for visiting!

Pinch Proof

I made this St. Patrick’s Day card for a swap group I am in.  We are challenged to create something different each month.  This month our challenge was to use green and do this diagonal fold technique.

I have been slow to post this card because I didn’t want the recipient to see it online before she received it in the mail.  Hopefully, she’s gotten it by now.

The Medallion in the center is attached very lightly with a small glue dot and I included a self-adhesive pin back, so she could remove the medallion and make a pin to wear on St. Patrick’s Day to keep from getting pinched!

Stamps:  Pinch Proof (vintage)

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Cucumber Crush

Ink:  Cucumber Crush

Paper:  Cucumber Crush 12 x 12 In Color Envelope Paper

Punch/Dies:  Scallop Circle Punch (vintage) 1 3/8″ circle punch

Other:  White sparkle ribbon (vintage), Tombow multipurpose glue, Dazzling Diamonds.
