Happy Celebrations

Here’s another card from my January CAM class.

Do you ever have a great idea in your head that just won’t translate to paper?

I really struggled with the color combination for this card.  I wanted to use Bermuda Bay because I had the twine and sequins.  I finally settled on Daffodil Delight and Pool Party, but I think I might try Calypso Coral or Peekaboo Peach instead of the Daffodil Delight next time.

I really like the Celebrations Duo TIEF (embossing folders)!  They are different than most of our TIEFs because they actually “deboss” the card.  You “deboss” the word first and then stamp over that area, and because it’s lower, the word stays white.  Pretty cool!

Stamps:  Happy Celebrations,  (I also used the small round stamp from Work of Art just to avoid cleaning the stamps in class)

Cardstock:  Bermuda Bay, Whisper White

Ink:  Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party

Other:  Celebrations Duo TIEF, Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine, Bermuda Bay Sequins
