Bubble Over Retirement

Sometimes you just have to make a special card for a special person.

This card was made for a good friend who retired from civil service, AFTER retiring from a career in the military.  That’s a lot of dedicated service.

Jerry, and his wife, LaAnna, are some of our best friends, and if you’re my friend on Facebook, you’ve probably seen pictures of us together.  Jerry has a fondness for craft beer, so I thought this card would be perfect for him!

Picture Perfect Celebration

I made this card for a challenge group that I am in.  The challenge was to make a card based on a sketch.  The sketch was a square card with triangles on the front.  I decided to do something a little different, so made mine into a fancy fold, instead of just a square card.

I used the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set, along with paper that retired with the last Occasions Catalog.

Stamps:  Picture Perfect Birthday

Cardstock:  Bermuda Bay, Peekaboo Peach (retired), Whisper White

Ink:  Bermuda Bay, Peekaboo Peach (retired)

Dies:  Layering Circles Framelits

Other:  Bermuda Bay Sequins (retired)

Even though some of these products are retired, the stamp set is still available in the Annual Catalog and would go beautifully with many of our other products!  If you need any stamping supplies, I would sure appreciate your order.

Brusho Class Dragonfly Dreams

If you’re looking for something FUN to play with, you have to try the Brusho Color Crystals!  You can find them in the Occasions Catalog.  They can be used in many different ways, from mixing the crystals with water and painting to sprinkling them on wet paper and watching the colors “bloom”!

I recently had a class, and I think it’s the most fun we’ve had in a long time.  This card uses one of the techniques we played with.

Stamps:  Dragonfly Dreams

Cardstock:  Island Indigo, Basic Black, Shimmery White

Ink:  Basic Black

Dies:  Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits

Other:  Brusho Watercolor Crystals (Yellow, Moss Green, Prussian Blue), Spritzer, Basic Rhinestones

I have more samples from the Brusho class, so be sure to check back.  Island Indigo is a retiring color.  If you haven’t stocked up on cardstock and ink, you can order at the link below.

Bella & Friends Meet Home Life

A good friend of mine recently moved from an apartment into a house.  Sue has a German Shepherd who is so excited to have a fenced yard!  Although it’s not a German Shepherd, I thought she would enjoy this card which says Congratulations on Your New Home.

Stamps:  Bella & Friends, Home Life

Cardstock:  Soft Sky, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Whisper White

Ink:  Basic Black, Garden Green, Pool Party

Paper:  Wood Textures DSP Stack

Dies/Punches:  Welcome Home Framelits, Picnic Basket Builder Framelits, Layering Squares Framelits, Scallop Circle Punch (retired)

Other:  Stampin’ Blends (Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party), linen thread, Stampin’ Sponge

I love when I have time to create a unique card for someone special.

The Home Life Stamp Set and Welcome Home Framelits will be gone soon.  If you would like to have them, please visit my online store at the link below.

Fabulous Flamingo and Stamparatus

When I went to OnStage in April, I joined an organized swap.  I wanted to make a nice card, and this is what I came up with.

The flamingo takes FOUR stamps, and there’s normally NO WAY I would make this card for a swap, but the Stamparatus made it easy to stamp 12 identical flamingos.

Here are the finished cards.

Stamps: Fabulous Flamingo

Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Basic Black, Powder Pink, Calypso Coral, Marina Mist

Dies: Layering Ovals Framelits

Other: Basic Black Bakers Twine, Basic Rhinestones

You can see the complete stamp set below, and if you’d like this set, you can find it in my online store.

If you haven’t seen the Stamparatus, you can check it out here.  It will be available for purchase in the new Annual Catalog coming next month!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheers to the Year

Happy New Year!!

Last year was a rough one for me, so I’m hoping 2018 will be a better one.  I hope it’s a good year for you, too!

We made this card at December Stamp Club, and the picture does NOT do it justice.  It is gorgeous and includes several colors of foil….gold, silver, champagne, and copper.  The DSP is so pretty, I really hated to see it go!

This card is adapted from a Make-n-take we made on the Incentive Trip to Thailand in July.  I resized it to make the most of the beautiful paper.  I wanted to make sure all my club members got to use it.

Stamps:  Cheers to the Year

Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Champagne Foil, Whisper White

Ink:  Crumb Cake, Basic Black

Punches:  Starburst, 1 1/4” Circle, 1 3/8” Circle

Paper:  Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper

Other:  Foil Snowflakes, Mini gold sequins

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Stay inky, my friends!
